• The Borders Distillery presents "Elementum" by Vicky Paul, an impressive 21 Litre alchemical vessel housing a One of One, single malt whisky.

• After visiting The Borders Distillery, Vicky Paul created “Elementum”, a vibrant, work capturing the Distillery’s fruit-forward flavours, the passion of its people, and the five core elements of Borders distillation.

• The vessel houses a unique single malt Scotch whisky created exclusively for The Distillers One of One 2025, distilled at The Borders Distillery and drawn from Ex-Bourbon and Ex-Douro Wine casks, bottled at 43.0% abv.

• The colours which Paul used to create "Elementum" are symbolic, carefully selected to capture the essence of Borders spirit. The vessel is adorned in layers of gold leaf, which reflects the copper stills of the distillery.

• The artist then used a natural sea sponge to create a bubble-textured background, evoking the distillation process and the company’s focus on sustainable Whisky production.

• Based in Edinburgh, Vicky Paul is a contemporary abstract painter working intuitively with layers, textures, and spontaneous marks, allowing each piece to emerge organically.

Tasting Notes:

Candied orange peel and sweet spice on the nose, infused with dark chocolate and ginger stem on the palate.
