This artwork, now documented as a diptych, was originally part of a triptych entitled Six Faces Triptych (A,B,C). The original left panel designated as [A] was separated from the overall composition and sold separately by the artist to Pamela Auchincloss Gallery, Santa Barbara in December 1985.
