The artist

Artifishal (b. 1989) is an American-based artist and acclaimed filmmaker whose work explores the potential of artificial intelligence not just to mimic, but to revolutionize the portrayal of emotions, visions, and dreams. His singular art oeuvre emerges from a process inspired by surrealist automatic writing, conceptual art, and poetry, transformed through the use of artificial intelligence to visually manifest his creative visions.

Fading Presence is the first work Artifishal has brought into physical form, extending his fusion of digital surrealism and painterly aesthetics beyond the digital screen. A meditation on memory, transition, and the fragile boundary between presence and absence, the piece unfolds in layered sections, revealing its mysteries gradually. Emblematic of Artifishal’s hallmark style, the work resists a single interpretation. Hidden nuances—unnoticed faces, shifting perspectives, and textural intricacies—invite deeper engagement, rewarding the patient viewer with layers of meaning that reveal themselves over time.
