Benham & Froud was a historic British company, primarily active during the 19th century, known for its work in decorative metal – particularly brass and copper. Originally founded in London under various names from the 18th century, the company adopted the name Benham & Froud in 1855, when George Benham partnered with Charles Froud.

Their iconic address was Curzon Street, Clerkenwell, in London – a district renowned for metal craftsmanship. The firm was celebrated for the artisanal quality of its products. Notably, they crafted the gilt dragon-shaped weathervane surmounting the dome of the Royal Exchange in London in 1844, a striking symbol of their expertise.

They were granted a Royal Warrant, a testament to their prestige and official recognition.
