after a model by J.J. Kändler, the cover formed as Diana the hunter seated with her hound and a dead hare; modelled in high relief with a scene of hounds chasing and attacking a boar, deer and a doe, within a fenced off landscape, affixed with two leafy tree branches, the lower section formed of rockwork spilling over the gilt-edged footrim, the verso painted with hunting accoutrements and scattered insect, the base modelled fox eating a chicken, cancelled crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue
