This exquisite and extremely rare tabletop spinning wheel is virtually identical to a Rouet de Table in the collection of the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris [N°inv. 14259 (MAD-1), https://collections.madparis.fr/document/rouet-de-table/627a8bce3edd95462245aa72?q=rouet&pos=1&pgn=0] and exemplifies the high standard and inventiveness achieved in Parisian gilt bronze production during the 18th century,
