Koshirae [mount]: the aikuchi tanto-koshirae with a dense nashiji ground, the silvered fittings chased and engraved with peonies, the kozuka [knife handle] and kogai [hair dressing tool] emblazoned with hanabishi crests, the kogai pierced with an inome-bori opening, the silvered menuki in the form of karashishi, one with a sprig of peony bud in its mouth, the other beside a large blossoming peony flowerhead
Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 19.3 cm, 7⅝ in.
Saki-haba [width at the yokote]: 1.9 cm, ¾ in.

Accompanied by a certificate of registration as Hozon Token [Sword Worthy of Preservation], attributing the blade to the tenth generation of the Fujiwara Nobutaka line and dating the work circa Keio era (1865-1868), no. 3029947 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword], dated Reiwa 4 (2022).
