the black lacquered sixty-two plate iron bowl with raised rivets, terminating in a five-stage copper tehen kanamono of typical stylised chrysanthemum form, the black lacquer peak with sanbyo no hoshi rivets, black lacquer turnbacks, gold lacquer fukurin [ornamental border], five-tiered black lacquer solid plate neck guard with spaced lacing in blue braid, black lacquer interior, the gold and black lacquered wood maedate [forecrest] in the form of bonji [Sanskrit character] before stylised crescent moon and cloud 

Height of the bowl 22.5 cm, 8⅞ in.
