The iron bowl surmounted in black and silver lacquer in the form of a elongated courtier’s cap, decorated in red lacquer with a hi no maru, black lacquer peak, small red lacquer turnbacks, four-tiered gold lacquer neck guard with spaced lacing in pale braid, red lacquer interior, gilt metal maedate [forecrest] in the form of a sun disc
Mempo [face mask]:
The black lacquered iron hanbo [half mask] of typical form, three-tiered solid plate black lacquer throat protector (yodaregake) with close-spaced lacing in orange braid
Do [cuirass]:
The black lacquered cuirass hinged in two pieces, seven tassets of three-tiered kusazuri [skirt] with close-spaced lacing
Kote [sleeves]:
The sleeves applied overall in tightly linked chainmail weave, the gold lacquered iron tekko [guantlets] carved with stylised floral mon
Haidate, sune-ate [thigh protectors and shin guards]:
The black lacquered thigh protectors decorated in red lacquer with hi no maru, shino-suneate
