From the personal collection of Atlantis: The Lost Empire director Gary Trousdale, this is a set of 8 pitch posters created by Walt Disney Imagineering for a proposal to rework the Submarine Voyage attraction at Disneyland into an Atlantis Expedition inspired by the 2001 motion picture.
Imagineers mocked up the proposed attraction at Disneyland in one of the original 1959 Submarines parked in the dock area and hidden from guests. These 8 posters were used in the preliminary development and mock-up of the attraction, which was never realized.
