A print of character design concepts for Blue Eye Samurai’s Mizu by Brian Kesinger, 23 x 15. 25 in (print: 16.75 x 9.25 in), together with a print of full color script for Episode 4 of Blue Eye Samurai by Toby Wilson, 23 x 15. 25 in (print: 16.75 x 9.25 in). Each matted and framed.
The present lot is a set of 2 prints relating to Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai.
One print—previously on display at Gallery Nucleus—presents the progression of design stages for Blue Eye Samurai’s protagonist, Mizu. Lead Character Designer Brian Kesinger won the Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his work on Blue Eye Samurai in 2024.
The second print depicts the full color script for Episode 4 of Blue Eye Samurai. Toby Wilson and his team paint the lighting for every shot in the episode. This script is then shared with the animation studio vendor to recreate during the compositing stage. For his work on Blue Eye Samurai, Wilson won the Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement In Animation for Production Designer in 2024.
