“Lisa the Greek”

Film script measuring 8.5 x 11 in, 50 pp printed on white sheets with three-hole punch, “FINAL DELIVERY” dated “7/12/91.” Original Gracie Films wrappers signed “KEVO / Kevin O’Brien” in black Sharpie ink at lower right corner. Wrappers decorated with manuscript doodles and drawings across verso and recto, bound at left margins with 2 silver-toned fasteners.
Together with manuscript letter from Kevin O'Brien on a single sheet of Pixar letterhead paper, in black Sharpie ink.
Kevin O’Brien is an American director and storyboard artist, who collaborated on 35 episodes of The Simpsons in the storyboard department. Outside of The Simpsons, O’Brien has contributed storyboard artwork to Futurama, Ratatouille, WALL-E, and The Incredibles.
Included with this lot is a handwritten letter on Pixar letterhead, in which O’Brien recalls the process of storyboarding the fourteenth episode of The Simpsons’ third season, “Lisa the Greek”—excepted below:
“Due to excessive camera moves in previous shows, Director Rich Moore asked for a minimal, ‘locked camera’ approach to this episode. We decided to only use camera motion at important story points. It was an interesting, sucessful [sic] experiment that influence future shows.”
