Decoration with chinoiserie figures imitating the style of Meissen, first appears in the factory documents in 1747, and by 1757 is defined as "alla Sassonna con oro, bellissime", [in the Saxon (Meissen) style, inside a gold frame, beautiful] (see Biancalana, 2023, p. 376). One painter associated with the style is Angiolo Fiaschi, who worked at the factory from its inception in 1738 to 1775. The Relazione dello Stato della Fabbrica delle Porcellane della Toscana, [Report on the State of the Art of the Porcelain Factory of Tuscany], by Saint Laurent, written in 1760 at the behest of Lorenzo Ginori, indicates that at the time in question the Fleming was painting "figurine alla sassone, [figures in the Saxon manner] (AGL, file 138, nr. 2) (quoted from d'Agliano, 2001, p. 289.)
