Silver humpback case, rounded bezel, flat glass with bevelled edge, aperture for mercury thermometer, the frame engraved for degrees Centigrade from -15 to +56, moulded pediment, hinged back cover, internal silver backplate with apertures for winding and hand-setting, shuttered winding aperture, inner cover signed and numbered Breguet 4759, French Minerva’s head in irregular octagonal cartouche, maker’s lozenge-shaped stamp M A with flower between, interior of backplate with countermark bigorne and numbered 2, underside of base with Minerva assay and MA lozenge stamp repeated
