Description de la Cuvée

Cette parcelle a été donnée en 2015 par Monsieur Jean-Marc Brocard, né à Chaudenay-le-Château à 30 kilomètres de Beaune. Des membres de la famille ont séjourné à l'hôpital de Beaune lorsqu'ils ont été touchés par la maladie. En se mariant, Monsieur Brocard s'est déplacé, tout en restant dans la région, fondant un domaine à Chablis dès 1975.

La parcelle est située sur la rive gauche du Serein (rivière traversant Chablis), sur le haut du coteau avec une pente importante. Exposée Sud-Est, on y trouve un assemblage d'argiles et de sables calcaires. Il en résulte un vin expressif, très fruité, à la minéralité affirmée.

Dans un style classique, ce vin révèle des arômes de poire, de pomme et des notes minérales. Le vin est pur et raffiné, et gagne en densité et en rondeur en milieu de bouche grâce au contact sur lies fines. Élevé en fûts d'un an de la tonnellerie Damy, ce Chablis frais et droit séduit par sa minéralité et sa fraîcheur délicate.

Cuvée description

This parcel was donated in 2015 by Mr Jean-Marc Brocard, born in Chaudenay-le-Château, 30 kilometers from Beaune. Members of the family were in hospital in Beaune when they were affected by ill health. When Mr Brocard married, he moved but remained in the region, founding a domaine in Chablis in 1975.

The parcel is located on the left bank of the Serein (the river running through Chablis), on the top of the hillside with a steep slope. Facing South-East, it is a blend of clay and sandy limestone. The result is an expressive, very fruity wine with a strong minerality.

Classic in profile with notes of pear, apple, and crushed stones. The texture is refined and pure, shaped by fine lees contact that adds gentle weight and mid-palate depth. Aged in one-year-old Damy barrels, this fresh and restrained Chablis will appeal to those who appreciate its mineral clarity and freshness.
