Sotheby’s is proud to present this Spalding basketball signed by members of the Boston Celtics 2022 NBA team. 

The signatures on the ball include those of Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Grant Williams, Josh Richardson, and Dennis Schröder. 

A letter from James Spence Authentication in regards to the signatures is included with this lot.

The Boston Celtics entered the 2022-23 season as defending Eastern Conference and Atlantic Division champions, on their way to a record-breaking 18th NBA Championship. After a loss at the 2022 NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors, the franchise was determined to end the season with a win. The Celtics advanced to the Eastern Conference finals for the 5th time in the last seven seasons where they faced their rivals Miami Heat for the third time in four years. Despite the hopes of becoming the first NBA team to overcome a 0-3 series loss, the Celtics' season came to an end in Game 7 in a 103-84 loss against Heat.
