the stand on four lion-shaped feet, the gallery applied with a laurel garland, centered with coat of arms, with a Sicilian jasper top, the column-shaped ink pot and sand box applied and adorned with laurel garland and lion masks, the bell with similar decoration, the obelisk shaped pen holder resting on a rectangular base, marks on base, ink pot and pen holder: town mark, maker's mark and stamp VALADIER/ROMA ; on all covers and bell: town mark and makers mark ; underneath the bases: assay's mark
