Average age of vines, 55 years. 30.42 hl/ha made. In 2018, a very imposing, dark fruit, spicy nose leads to a total brambly taste, succulent and mouth-coating. Bramble jelly in the mouth, with the combination of freshness and glycerol that is so impressive at DRC in this vintage. A long, red fruit finish signs off a great Grands Echézeaux. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
