Description

To commemorate the 2024 Tour de France starting in Italy for the first time in its 111 year history, Colnago created a Limited Edition of 111 Fleur-de-Lys bikes, this regal flower being chosen as it united the 2 countries: featuring in the coat of arms of Florence, from where Stage 1 of Le Tour began and where the bike was unveiled, and the fleur-de-lys has been the symbol of French royalty since the Middle Ages.


At the pre-Tour UAE Team Emirates’ rider presentation on 27th June, team leader and race favourite Tadej Pogacar arrived on number 001/111 – the very bike now for sale.

 

Never to be recreated, this is the last one remaining – the others having sold out as soon as they became available.

 

As one would expect for a bike custom-made for Tadej Pogacar, the spec is rather special : the Colnago Ace of Clubs on the headtube is hand-crafted in 18k yellow gold, the ENVE SES 4.5 wheels are Limited Edition Colnago X Tour de France, hand spoked in Italy with special gold spokes, the Prologo saddle is also Limited Edition, adorned with the Fleur-de-Lys design, as is the top tube, while the gold NFC tag on the down tube names Tadej Pogacar as the first owner.
