A RARE, SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH OF THE FATHER OF SPACE TRAVEL, WERNHER VON BRAUN, STANDING NEXT TO MODELS OF THE ICONIC ROCKETS HE HELPED CREATE.
Considered the “father of space travel” by many, von Braun was instrumental to the creation of the American space program and was one of its foremost aerospace engineers. He served as the first director of the Marshall Space Flight Center and was the chief architect of the Saturn V rocket, the launch vehicle used in nearly every crewed Apollo mission.
