A wonderful, breedy scent leads into a taste that just expands on the palate, lingering and beguiling. We decided against decanting and poured it into big Riedel Burgundy 'balloons' and this suited the wine perfectly. There is something briary, smoky and mysterious about this wine. It is now just beginning to open out in a silky smooth way.
