It is fitting that Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd acquired the present screenprint for his personal collection, as it was published in conjunction with the Moderna Museet's 1961 exhibition Rörelse i Konsten. It was at this exhibition that Reuterswärd finally met his idol, Marcel Duchamp, whose Rotoreliefs were a highlight in the museum's groundbreaking survey of kinetic art. Reuterswärd had long admired Duchamp, who shared his visionary approach to art and life. The two became fast friends after their 1961 meeting, and bonded for life over their commitment to DADAism and shared passion for wordplay.
