Description

The pair of ballet slippers in red satin with red ribbons, the soles each stamped 'FREED LONDON', size 3 1/2.


Created for Moira Shearer as 'Victoria Page' in the 1948 film 'The Red Shoes' produced by Powell & Pressburger.


Accompanied by a letter of provenance, signed on behalf of The Film and Television Charity on letterheaded paper.


Provenance

Gifted following production of 'The Red Shoes' to British film editor Noreen Ackland, who had worked on the film.

Bequeathed by the above to The Film and Television Charity.

Offered directly from the archive of The Film and Television Charity.
