framed: 111.5 x 85.6 cm.; 43⅞ x 33¾ in.
A very similar composition by Giuseppe Recco (1634–1695) appeared at auction in 2013.1 Giuseppe was influenced by his father Giacomo Recco (1603–1653) and it seems likely this painting may have been inspired by Giacomo's work.
