WILSON, WILSON BASKETBALL

2024

This NBA Finals Game Ball was used in Game 4 of the 2024 NBA Finals on June 14, 2024, when the Boston Celtics played the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks beat the Celtics, 122-84.

The Mavericks came to life during Game 4 of the 2024 NBA Finals in their only win of the series. Stars Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving led the way with 29 and 21 points, respectively, as the Mavericks blew out the Celtics. Boston, however, finished the series off in Game 5, as they brought home an NBA-record 18th championship.

The Celtics were led by stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Throughout the 2024 NBA Playoffs, Jaylen Brown played arguably the best basketball of his career. Moving seamlessly between his smooth, efficient offense and tough lockdown defense, Brown was invaluable on both ends of the floor in securing his championship-winning Celtics’ success. His efforts did not go unnoticed, as he deservedly won both Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals MVP.

Jayson Tatum The five-time All Star finally did it: Having never failed to reach a conference finals in his career, Tatum was at the heart of the Celtics’ championship success as they finally made it over the hump. After the disappointing loss to the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 finals, many doubted if Tatum and Brown could lead their team to a championship. But in Tatum’s words: “ What they gon’ say now? ”
