The artist.
Léo Caillard is a contemporary artist recognized internationally for the quality of his marble sculptures as well as for his digital creations at the cutting edge of new technologies. Léo Caillard opens a dialogue between eras through the use of these two mediums and the unique aesthetics of his art, mixing figures from ancient statuary and digital abstract forms.
Born in Paris in 1985, he graduated from the prestigious Ecole des Gobelins in 2006 and then from the fine arts in 2008. He then left for New York for 2 years, the opportunity there to meet the contemporary artistic scene and to start these first digital creations. In 2011, he developed his first successful creations through the digital art series "Art Game" and "Hipsters in Stone" combining photography of ancient statues and anachronistic objects of our time.
Since 2014, he has focused on marble sculpture as well as on perfecting his digital works. Widely recognized since 2017 with a major exhibition at Kings College London, his art continues to evolve towards ever more precise technical requirements.
Since 2018, Léo Caillard has been one of the precursor artists of the Blockchain era. He is considered one of the specialists in the world of NFT with the specificity of being one of the only ones to express his art also in physical form through marble sculpture. He was listed in the world's top 20 contemporary artists by the prestigious "ArtPrice" His works have been exhibited in many recognized contemporary art fairs (Paris+, Basel, Miami Basel, Frieze).
The year 2024 is already shaping up to be an important turning point in Léo Caillard's career with several large public commissions for the Paris Olympics and several partnerships with recognized brands.
