Buste de Suzon, taille originale dite aussi “taille no. 5”
stamped A. Rodin; stamped 8211 (on the underside)
bronze
height (including base): 23 ½ in. 59.7 cm.
Conceived in 1873-75; this example cast by the Compagnie des Bronzes de Bruxelles in 1878.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue critique de l'oeuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin currently being prepared by the Comité Rodin in collaboration with Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2024-7219B.
