Listen Magazine, Spring, 1960, illustrated on the front cover

The present work was given by Henry Moore to George Hartley, the publisher of the art and literary magazine Listen, and was used as the front cover illustration of the Spring 1960 issue. The magazine included contributions by Philip Larkin, Donald Davie, John Wain, Kingsley Amis, Richard Murphy, Elizabeth Jennings, Thom Gunn, James Merrill, Geoffrey Hill, Thomas Kinsella, R. S. Thomas and others. Four issues featured cover designs by Henry Moore.
