signed with initials B.H., numbered 3/9 and inscribed with the foundry mark MS (on the base)

bronze and string

width (excluding the base): 19cm.; 7½in.; depth (excluding the base) 8cm.; 3in.; height (excluding the base): 11.5cm.; 4½in.

width (including the base): 19cm.; depth (including the base): 10cm.; 4in.; height (including the base): 13cm.; 5in.

Conceived and cast in 1965 by Morris Singer Foundry, the present work is number 3 from the edition of 9 plus 1 Artist's Cast.


This work will be included in the revised catalogue raisonné of Barbara Hepworth's sculpture being prepared by Dr. Sophie Bowness under the catalogue no. BH 375.
