Trays of this type with three ring-shaped feet are very rare. A similar example can be found in the Harvard Art Museums, completed as a set together with five cups, accession no. 2006.170.242.1-6; and a slightly smaller tripod (23.5 cm) in the Meiyintang Collection, illustrated in Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics From The Meiyintang Collection, vol. 1, London, 1994, pl. 201.
