Northern Song dynasty
北宋 耀州青釉刻牡丹紋葵口盤
with shallow sides flaring at an angle from a straight foot to a six-lobed rim, the interior deftly carved with a large peony spray wreathed by foliage, the exterior marked by vertical lines, covered overall save for the footring with a rich olive-green glaze, the glaze pooling to a darker tone in the recessed areas, Japanese wood box
