Made to honor the renowned Italian scientist Galileo Galilei, often hailed as the godfather of modern science, this watch pays homage to his groundbreaking achievements. Galileo's contributions spanned various fields including physics, astronomy, mathematics, and engineering. Notably, he tackled time-measurement problems and devised a system to calculate longitude at sea using Jupiter’s moons as a celestial clock.

In commemoration of this remarkable feat, Panerai introduced the “Lo Scienzato” collection in 2010, featuring both Radiomir and Luminor models. The first limited edition model to showcase the newly developed in-house caliber P.2005/S was the Radiomir Tourbillon GMT, encased in black ceramic, as seen in this present example.

At first glance, the semi-skeletonized dial captivates with its intricate design. It showcases a triple barrel capable of a power reserve lasting up to 6 days, with a rotating tourbillon carriage positioned at 10 and 11 o’clock. Additionally, an extra hand indicates dual time, with a day and night indicator located at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock. The power reserve indicator is discreetly placed on the back of the movement. We are pleased to offer this model numbered 27 out of a limited edition of 150 pieces, complete with its full suite of accessories.
