This timepiece is only the second of its kind with this specific configuration to re-emerge on the market, showcasing both the coveted Khanjar emblem and the exclusive Asprey signature—two rare features seldom seen together on a single dial.
Its appearance in the public domain enhances our understanding of watches produced in the 1970s by special order for His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. At that time, with no official watch agents in Oman, almost all “Khanjar” dial watches were commissioned through the prestigious retailer Asprey of New Bond Street in London, with some pieces occasionally supplied via their Geneva branch.
This particular model, reference 3506, was produced between 1963 and 1976 in both white and yellow gold. Known as the "Skater" due to its horizontally positioned case, Patek Philippe promoted this design as a bold, innovative statement in horology, blending elegance with a distinctive presence on the wrist.
