In 2002, Richard Mille unveiled the RM002, making it the second watch ever created by the brand. Drawing inspiration from its predecessor, the RM001, this iteration incorporated subtle enhancements, including a titanium baseplate. Most importantly, the RM002 inaugurated the use of function selector, a world premiere in the watch world.

In 2005, a revised version of the RM002 emerged, reflecting Richard Mille's commitment to advancing materials technology and applying it not only to new models, but also to existing ones— a departure from conventional practices in the horological realm. Thus, the RM002-V2 caliber was introduced, featuring a groundbreaking carbon nanofiber baseplate (previously pioneered and tested in the RM006) and retaining the array of functions found in the original model. These include a manually wound tourbillon movement with indications for hours, minutes, function selector, power reserve, and torque indicator.

Chosen for its exceptional thermometric stability and chemical inertness, carbon nanofiber serves as the ideal baseplate material, ensuring consistent performance across a wide range of temperatures, thereby enhancing timekeeping precision. Positioned at 4 o'clock, the function selector on the RM002-V2's crown governs all the watch's operations. When set to 'W,' it winds the manually wound Calibre RM-002-V2, providing a generous 78-hour power reserve. Selecting 'H' allows for time setting, while 'N' places the crown in a 'neutral' position, allowing free rotation.

The RM002-V2 is a pivotal model in the history of Richard Mille, it embodies the genesis of the brand, it also inaugurates the distinctive technical features such as the function selector and uses cutting-edge material. This watch also incorporates all the aesthetical codes of the production of this incredible brand.

The present RM002-V2 comes with its presentation case and documentation, including its warranty, making it a truly exceptional opportunity.
