Explore the pinnacle of innovation and athleticism with the Richard Mille RM27-01, a testament to the partnership between tennis legend Rafael Nadal and luxury watchmaker Richard Mille. Born from their collaboration, this exceptional timepiece is the culmination of years of research and development, resulting in the creation of one of the world's lightest tourbillon wristwatches.
Crafted with the utmost precision, this RM27-01 weighs an astonishing 19 grams, including its strap, with the movement itself tipping the scales at a mere 3.5 grams. Tested rigorously by Nadal during the tennis season, this ultra-lightweight tourbillon remained unfazed by the most extreme movements and shocks encountered on the court.
The movement baseplate and tourbillon carriage are constructed from grade 5 titanium, while the barrel bridges and gears are made from aluminium-lithium alloy. Suspended by four braided steel cables measuring just 0.35mm of thickness, the entire movement can withstand accelerations of up to 5000 G. Encased in grey anthracite polymer injected with carbon nanotubes, the monobloc construction of the case ensures exceptional durability and shock resistance. The strap is integrated for a streamlined aesthetic.
Limited to just 50 pieces worldwide, the RM27-01 is a true collector's item, embodying the spirit of innovation and performance synonymous with both Richard Mille and Rafael Nadal. The present RM27-01's rarity is even greater because it stands as a protoype for the reference as it is engraved 'PROTO 03'.
