Rolex introduced a new generation of GMT-Master II models during Baselworld 2018.
The most important announcement was certainly the version cased for the first time in its proprietary gold alloy - Everose gold.
The case is the maxi sized 40 mm with a bidirectional rotating Cerachrom bezel graduated with a 24-hour scale. The bezel design is reminiscent of the root beer GMT models of the 1970’s which are undergoing a renaissance in collector circles. Behind the dial, Rolex updated the Calibre 3285 of the GMT, increasing the power reserve from around 50 hours to 70 hours.
