To commemorate the brand’s 150th anniversary in 1989, Patek Philippe released its first ever limited edition, with a series of 2200 wristwatches featuring ‘Officer’ style case backs, which can be opened to reveal commemorative text underneath.
Across its production run, the reference was produced in three metals: yellow gold, white gold and platinum. Of the three, the present watch in platinum is by far the rarest with only 50 examples produced, of which this is the first to appear at auction in recent years.
Offered in attractive overall condition featuring crisp hallmarks and immaculate white dial which contrasts elegantly with the blackened hands and Breguet numerals, this watch will appeal to all discerning collectors of classic watches.
