Audemars Piguet is widely recognised as the master of minute repeating watches. They also created the first jump-hour wristwatch in 1921, which has traditionally been housed in a rectangular case.
The aesthetic created by the refined dial, nicely balanced between the aperture displaying the hours at 12 o'clock and the subsidiary dial for constant seconds at 6 o'clock, combined with an angular faceted case, suited the Art Deco period perfectly. It created a elegant look that is today still considered as a pinnacle of the style of that era. The present watch has been retained in excellent condition.
