Urwerk has represented a relatively new wave of independent watchmaking through its numerous timepieces the manufacturer was founded in 1997, incorporating futuristic themes their watches.

Urwerk introduced the first UR-110 watch in 2011, and like previous designs had come with a strikingly modern look. Urwerk’s UR-110 TTH comes with a robust 47 mm tantalum bezel, and an array of vivid lime green indicators, resembling scientific control boards, spread across an overall black backdrop.

The present UR110 continues the radical Urwerk design and complication of three satellite cubes instead of traditional hands used to mark the hours by rotating around a central carousel. Instead of a minute track circumventing an entire dial, this UR-110 features a right-hand side scale that measures the minutes from top to bottom. This significant display on the face of the watch is accompanied by a range of other dial displays in the same bright green tone markings, with a day/night indicator and an “Oil Change” indicator which specifies when the watch is required to be serviced.
