Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5940 in 2012 as a replacement to the exquisite reference 5040. The watch is inspired by the rare Art Deco pieces produced in the 1920s and 30s with cushion-shaped cases.

What makes the present piece special is its Tiffany & Co. stamp on the dial. Tiffany & Co. is the sole North American brand to have its name "double stamped" on the dial of a Patek Philippe watch. These "double stamped" pieces are highly sought after by collectors and can only be purchased at Tiffany & Co. boutiques in New York.
