The reference 5140 model was introduced in 2006, replacing the 3940 in what was acclaimed as an automatic wristwatch with enhanced legibility thanks to the update in dial text and design. The 5140 retains the iconic thin Calatrava case, with the same excellence of practical use that Patek Philippe has long been respected for.
The present 5140 model comes with a pink gold case, which along with a dial of three registers, retains a refined and subtle image. The various functions and complications of the 5140 are neatly balanced out across in three-subdials, in an assortment which demonstrates the high performance of the watch while relying on a sensible and coherent design.
