Patek Philippe introduced the 5712 Nautilus model in 2006, aspiring to popularise a timepiece with an asymmetrical dial, while continuing the tradition of a sunburst surface and porthole-shaped case that has famously represented the Nautilus collection, strongly resonating with the spirit of maritime travel.
The 5712 most notably included a moonphase indicator, alongside a small seconds counter sub-dial at 4 o'clock. The watch is powered by a self-winding movement, and when fully wound can continue for at least 48 hours. This present Nautilus watch comes with a blue black dial, adorned with luminescent indexes and hands, and is encased in stainless steel, which in total measures a diameter of 40 mm.
