Patek Philippe

At Baselworld 2019, Patek Philippe introduced a new complication within their "Grand Complications" line: the Alarm Travel Time Reference 5520P. This timepiece features an entirely new self-winding movement, the caliber AL 30-660, which was developed over five years. Comprising 574 parts and specifically designed for this model, the travel time function, combined with a unique alarm feature, is as legible and user-friendly as collectors could hope for.

Drawing inspiration from the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time, the 5520 incorporates aviator style, adding a sporty touch to the Grand Complications range, making it ideal for serious travelers. On the left side of the case, there are two twist-lock protected push buttons (+ and -) for adjusting the local time. On the right side, two additional buttons are located, with one at the 2 o’clock position to turn the alarm on and off, and the other at 4 o’clock for managing the winding and setting of the alarm and home time hands. An alarm on/off indicator, shaped like a small bell, is positioned below the 12 o’clock mark; it appears white when the alarm is active and can be set in 15-minute increments, turning dark when the alarm is off. The large applied Arabic numerals and broad baton hands, all crafted from white gold and coated with white Superluminova, create a striking contrast against the sunburst ebony black background. Additionally, the watch is in almost like new overall condition and complete with accessories.
