• 8-day movement with striped backplate, lever escapement, 15 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance, 3 adjustments, blued steel hairspring with overcoil, signed E.W.C. Co. France for the European Watch and Clock Co. and further marked Fab. Suisse

• dial comprising carved jade center with cabochon rubies, separated from a mosaic of kingfisher feathers by a gold bezel, gold chapter ring with stippled finish, polished Roman numerals interspersed with cabochon ruby-set half hour markers, diamond-set hands

• square onyx case with scooped border, a collet-set ruby to each corner, movement cover signed Cartier to outside and internally signed European Watch and Clock Co. France, hand stamped 3287, 1829 and with further indistinct numbering, strut support numbered 1829
