Description
the beaker-shaped body, foot and cover all chased with diamond pattern on matted ground, lobed vase-shaped stem topped by three scroll brackets, the cover topped by a reel-shaped pedestal for a finial now missing, marked with city and maker on body, and maker’s mark on foot rim

Base of bowl probably replaced, likely in the 19th century.

From the collection of Asher Frenkel, descended in the family. Asher was born in Poland and moved to Tel Aviv in the 1920s, successful businessman who collected art, Judaic and ancient coins.
