As per Sotheby’s Conditions of Business for Buyers inability to export a purchased lot will not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or excuse any delay in payment.

Registration Disclaimer:

Payment must be received from a bank account

or payment card held in the same name as the Sotheby’s bidder account. Please

select the bid account that will be used to remit payment for any property you

successfully bid on. Sotheby’s reserves the right to decline to rebill

purchases to an alternative account after a sale is completed.

certificate to purchase property that is intended for resale, you must register

the account associated with the name that appears in the purchaser field of the
