Description

shaped rectangular outline, the lid centred with a hinged scalloped-edged enamel plaque representing a lake scene against dramatic pink skies, opening to reveal a compartment decorated in red, white and turquoise taille d'épargne enamel, fitted with a matching circular locket centred with a gold crescent moon and star, formerly probably containing a watch movement, all sides of the box enamelled with brightly-coloured floral and plumy scrollwork on an opaque turquoise ground, apparently unmarked
