Description
La Mondotte 2012
St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (B)
Good level, excellent appearance, embossed wax capsule
85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. 100% new wood. The vines are really old here, 65-100 years. A wine of great richness, plums and alcohol, limestone producing the latter. In 2014, one can still see the oak on the nose. Fabulous black fruit lusciousness on the palate. Stunning for the year and with a long finish. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
WA 95
1 imperial - 6 litres (owc)
