Description

Château Cheval Blanc 2007

St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A)

Excellent level and appearance, embossed metal capsule with prooftag, slight signs of old seepage on base of capsule and tissue, tissue wrapped

53% Cabernet Franc, 47% Merlot and a third of the crop. You could call this year a little 'al dente'! Very cocoa and chocolate wine, with some toast on the nose and a touch of tobacco. The texture is like soft chamois leather on the palate, with liqueur overtones. You could start to drink it from now, in 2014. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

1 imperial - 6 litres (owc)
