Vintage from 1 September to 15 September which, for Cheval Blanc, was the earliest since 1893. 33 hl/hectare made. 13.2% alcohol, which is discreet for the year. 56% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot. Last tasted at a great Imperial dinner in Hong Kong in 2011. An incredibly spicy bouquet comes out of the glass to greet you. Liquid liquorice and leather. Rich and opulent, generous and welcoming.
